The Old town Tbilisi

Walking through the historic center of the city is a good idea to start exploring Tbilisi. If you want to feel the really old atmosphere of historical district, you should walk it small streets. Here you can see buildings, age of which is more than two hundred years. And, of course, in this part of city based our Grand tour start point 😉

Narikala Fortress

It is one of the most popular places in Tbilisi. Ancient fortress located on the Holy Mountation in the heart of the city. You can climb it by cable car. Going up you will see the Old town with lovely houses with wooden balconies.

The Dry Bridge

The bridge is located in the center and in itself is not particularly interesting. But every day there is a flea market near it, where you can see: dishes, vintage accessories, old vinyl records, different books. Even if you are not going to buy something just come to see the wonderful atmosphere of Tbilisi.

The mount Mtatsminda

The mount is a wonderful observation deck. It is located near the center and it offers an amazing view of the city. There are a Ferris wheel, a TV tower, a park, Mamadaviti Church and an old cemetery.

Lake Lisi

The lake is located on the outskirts of Tbilisi. It is a good to come here to relax in the heat or just walk along the waterfront, sit on a beach and feed almost hand-made ducks, enjoying the lovely views.

Fabrika

A garment factory in the past, now – space with hostel, shops, bars and cafes. There are exhibitions, parties and various events. Ethnographic Museum

Here you can look at the truly Georgia in miniature: old houses and outbuildings, interior items and tools, collected from all regions. If you want to knew more about this beautiful country, you should come here.

Botanical Garden

It is located in the center of the Tbilisi and is considered one of its famous sights. It is good to come here on a hot day to relax the coolness of the fountains and wander the shady paths.

The Cminda Sameba Cathedral

Now it is a symbol of Georgia and also is its highest temple. Be sure to visit this wonderful place: the facades, decorated with arches and several rows of unique carvings, masterful wall painting, icons painted by Patriarch Elijah II.

The Sulfur baths Abanotubani

Here you can experience the healing effect of natural sulfur springs, for which Georgia is so famous and to spend a nice day. All baths belong to the oriental style – these are low-rise buildings with semicircular baths.
